NASCAR driver Brendan Gaughan to appear as cover story

The first and only print publication dedicated to the more than 30 million women race fans is on schedule for release in early November. Women’s Racing Journal is expanding on their popular website which has covered racing from the female perspective for three years.

"A traditional high-gloss printed magazine is what we’ve planned since the outset," says publisher and editor, Joni Massengale, "Where we differ from other publications, is our focus on the lifestyle of motorsports enthusiasts. For many women fans, it truly is a part of our daily lives. We have the collectibles in our homes and the clothing on our backs. It is even reflected in the purchases we make at the grocery store, the services we use at home and in business and in the gifts we choose for our families. You can't really say that about any other sport.

"Women are typically interested in subjects concerning family, home, career, shopping and lifestyles. In racing, there are great story lines for each of these topics."

Regular features of the magazine will include:

"Hot Stock" - racing's sexiest men
"Spotters" - up-and-coming women drivers
"Road Course" - racing vacation destinations
"Super Speedway Cooking" - recipes from the racing world
"Fan Femme" - a look at the women who love motorsports, and more.
